To create a Kahoot you can just click on the blue button on the top right corner of the Kahoot screen (once you've logged in.)
A template page will load that you will use to create your question.
Be sure to use the right side of the screen to set the parameters for the game (length of time for answer, points and type of question)
Insert an image, upload an image from your computer, or insert a YouTube link.
When you are done with the Kahoot, click the "done" button on the top right corner of the screen.
Your Kahoot will then validate, and you will have the option to play the kahoot, test it or share it with others.

Updated info from Class: I created a new Kahoot account, and the only way to get to the free account is to select "continue for free" once you initially sign in with your new account. I have attached a picture of what the screen looks like showing the "continue for free" BASIC option. (Pic is a little hard to see, but look at the bottom where the text has been marked up.) Kahoot has made it more difficult to get to this option because they would like to sell you a plan rather than use the basic free plan. If you sign up for the teacher option when creating your account, you can get a plan for $36 dollars a year (Or $3 a month.) This is the plan I have.
