16 strips of paper (⅛-¼ “)
An instrument to wrap the strip of papers. (quilling stylus, skewer, pencil, pen, paintbrush)
A runny glue (Elmer’s, Aleen’s Craft glue, etc.)
A plate or dish for the glue
A small paintbrush to apply glue
A background (paper, canvas, etc.)
Pencil and eraser
Extra paper, scissors, ruler
Optional tools: A quilling paper trainer, and tweezers

Quilled Heart Demo

Today’s Steps

Cut 16 or more strips of paper (1/8” or ¼” by 11”
Make 16 or more teardrop shapes
Draw and cut out a 4x4” square, fold in half, and make a heart
Trace heart on your background
Glue teardrops on the inside of the heart line making sure the folded parts face outward.
Glue extra 2 teardrops on the inside of the heart or use you problem solving skills and fill in your heart with other quilling shapes.
